Transportation

Shelf Road Climbing Area is located approximately 30 minutes north of Canon City. From Canon City, take US-50 east to Highway 115 north. Continue on Highway 115 to County Road 123. Turn right onto County Road 123 and follow it to the Shelf Road Recreation Area. Be aware that the last few miles are on a well-maintained dirt road suitable for most vehicles. Parking is available at designated areas within the recreation area.
